FREE Early Finishers and Gifted Brainteasers for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades

These three no-prep, free early finishers, and gifted brainteasers will challenge your students and keep them engaged while learning essential skills.

What skills will students practice?

• Reasoning and critical thinking
• Math vocabulary
• All four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Identifying even and odd numbers
• Problem-solving in multiple ways

How to use them:
Thanks to the included directions, students can complete these early finishers and gifted brainteasers independently or collaboratively with minimal guidance from you. They can deepen their learning by working alone or in groups while practicing essential skills. You might have them justify their answers or, as I tell mine, “Convince Me!”

Engaging group work:
When students work together, I give each group a large sheet of butcher paper. They use equations, words, and visual representations to “Convince Me!” that their answer is correct. If time allows, groups present their solutions to the class for discussion and further learning.
